Yosegi is a Japanese technique of laminating layers of wood together to create patterns. Often done in thin veneers on boxes, the yosegi zaiku is made of solid blocks of wood and the pattern can be seen throughout the edge of the piece
Ash and Walnut Veneer Platter, with squares of yosegi made of Walnut with Maple Veneer. Glued onto an Ash base for support.
Great as a Catch-all or as a general use platter.
Finished in Food-safe oils and waxes.
